Abstract: This paper investigates the sugar value chain in Vietnam and evaluates its sustainability using integrative indicators based on the Triple Bottom Line (TBL) approach. A set of 27 indicators were used in our survey of key stakeholders in the sugar value chain of Vietnam. After 2 months, we received 482 quetionnaires and retained 473 valid responses. Our findings show that there are still many challenges for the Vietnamese sugar value chain to grow sustainably. Thus, we proposed some suggestions to enhance the sustainability of the Vietnamese sugar value chain.
